Townsend Groups
Throughout the Dioceses around Australia are a large number of adult members (including men) who meet under the GFS banner as a Townsend Group (using our founders name).
They meet together and share in fellowship at varying times depending on the Diocese.

Wonderful Things Our Townsend Members Do
- Meet for fellowship, support and prayer.
- Organise outings of interest.
- Donate to many organisations and appeals across Australia and worldwide.
- Fundraise for various GFS Australia and GFS World projects
- Support groups/branches around the country, including with scholarships and grants.
We support various Mission Projects financially or with goods.
- Provide rugs for the elderly
- Warm woollen beanies for Seafarers Mission
- Handmade children’s jumpers, scarves, hats, gloves, socks and baby clothes
- Premature baby items
- Handmade items for homeless youth
- Items to support foster care children
- Hygiene products for at risk young women
